Psyker Battle Squad and finishing the Kalmyk troops

After this I am painting an ork, Promise! I started work on a psyker battle squad. I finished two of them, one of them you already saw in production. Here is is, unpainted.
I was starting him out as a regimental adviser, but realized that just would look right. So the psyker squad made more sense. Here is the painted version.
The head and body are from Micro Arts, one arm is a from a woodelf noble, the other from IG sprues. I made him a little hovercraft platform, just for fun.
If you look at him from above, it looks like he is floating.
Here is his buddy, a model from the witch hunter retinue, hard to paint.
Also finished up the Kalmyk troops with these three gents:
and...
I am totally in love with these IG models, they are a joy to paint and have wonderful detail. The washes work great on them. Here'a another family picture with a Last Chancers Kommisar that needed some repair.

Hopefully I don't bore you all too much with these little posts, it's all meant to share my excitement for these great models!

  1. trust me, these posts DO NOT bore me, or any of us other readers!

They really are some nice models, they have a rather gritty feel to them which I quite like. The psyker looks very cool and mechanicus-y. I may have to steal the idea for my own little mechanicus force...

    Keep up the awesome work!
