SCWH Honor Roll #3 - Painting

Welcome to the SCWH Honor Roll!  This week our topic is painting!

The painting posts that really impressed me are:

Chaos Brushes's Chosen of Khorne
Dei Greci's Step-by-Step Freehand Banner
Camelson's Nurgle Dreadnought
Inquisitor Lord Aki's Red Finga Orks
The Brush Brother's Face Painting Tutorial
Black Dot Barrel's BA Vanguard Veteran Sergeant
Watching Paint Dry's Completed Arachnarok
Home of Cadaver's BA Furioso Dreadnought
Burned Brush's Imperial Missionary

While not directly related to painting, this tutorial could not be passed up:
Nesbet Miniature's Photography Tutorial Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3

Mike and John's additions for this weeks Honor roll are:

Mike: -- My pick this week isn't about painting but is a great post AND  a great idea as well: A 5-Minute History of the Baneblade

John: -- I sure like the paint on this guy from Realm of Lead Addiction, be sure to click on the image to enlarge the pic, interesting idea of using a program for a limited pallet.

That finishes out this week's Honor Roll! I'd also like to mention a contest The Fallen Princes are running for the First 'Badab Veterans' Competition.  The contest ends on the 15th, so time is running out. If you are interested, check out the link for the full rules and details.  I have a feeling we might see some of the entries on this list in the future.

And AGAIN: if you care about your fellow bloggers and their work, please link the Honor Roll on your blog. Grab the jpg from this post and use this link underneath:

It would be really appreciated!

  1. Any chance of a version of this without the black background?

  2. WOW! I'm honoured to be included in this roll!! Even more considering my tutorial has nothing to do with this week's topic! Thank you for the shout out, thank you very much ;D

  3. donogh: we have this blog run on white background for mobile devices. Is that not showing up?

  4. Yay!! I made it to the honor roll!! Thank you guys! It's really an honor! :)

  5. Mike,
Checked on a mobile and while there is a white border the underlying background is still black around the scroll edges.
    Not a biggie though...
