SCWH Honor Roll #30 - WIP

Welcome to the SCWH Honor Roll now brought to you with love and care direct from Matt and Lantz, two dashing fellows from over at MWC and TLA! This week we have a peek into what's to come with a slew of WIP projects!

Red's Corps - World Eaters WIP
Dei Greci - Tar'Akoona Diorama WIP
Legion of Plastic - Weapon Smith Borsus WIP
Apocalypse 40k - Eldar Pegasus WIP, Ork Bomma WIP/Completed, Dark Angels Fellblade WIP
Maximum Heresy - Zoanthrope WIP
BoLS - Razorback Turret WIP/Walkthrough

Lantz: This week is a bit more exciting for me, personally. I must admit I almost prefer WIP projects than a finished product when paroozing my bloglist. When something isn't complete or isn't fully painted, it can be whatever your imagination can come up with! This holds true especially Apocalypse 40k's Eldar Pegasus. The sketches are sketchy, the parts are strewn about the table and the imagination runs wild. I'll be keeping a close eye on that project. Another WIP type I enjoy is the money-saving ones like Maximum Heresy's Zoanthrope. Twenty-five bucks for a Zoanthrope is asinine, yet he's finding a way around it so others can save money as well. Kudos to him. Finally, BoLS has a RB Turret WIP that guides the reader through a simple, yet effective process for getting the most out of your model. It's these simple projects that help us all become a better hobby mind.

Matt:  Whew! Here I am, and better late then never as I always say! First let me say thank you Lantz for picking this weeks topic and coming up with some great selections! Second, nah, never mind, lets get right to the good stuff! I must say my first love has to be Jacks (Redscorps) WIP Khorne army in general is totally Khorney! And I mean that with all the love!  Alec over at Apoc40k always does have some great people on his forums and in the Apoc scene in Cali that always have great conversions. The Eldar Super Heavy is jaw dropping! As are alot of the other ones not even linked. I suggest anyone going over there should check all the back posts. They are worth it. All in all there are some great WIPs out there and I look forward to the next WIP week!

Mike and John's additions for this week's Honor roll are:

Mike:  I will certainly follow the progress on this model from Figure it Out! It really is great stuff and very inspiring.

John: I am happy to see Ron at FTW working on his Deathwing force again.

As always: if you care about your fellow bloggers and their work, please link the Honor Roll on your blog. Grab the jpg from this post and use this link underneath:

  2. First of all I love the idea of a WIP honor roll and I enjoyed every one of the projects included in the list. I'm honored to be listed on the SCWH honor roll again, I never would have expected that particular post to be chosen for something like this =)

    As for my Zoanthrope conversion I've been getting a lot of feedback on it over the last couple of days and there are definitely a few areas that need some improvement. Over the weekend I will be writing another post about these problem areas and how I plan on improving the model. I really think the second generation Zoanthrope will be a massive improvement over the first one. I will also be logging my progress on the new model so I can create a step by step tutorial on how I made it.

    Thank you very much for the place on the honor roll and if you like the conversion stay tuned because there is more coming and it will be getting even better!

    Ha; I feel the same way about Dwarves, sir.

    @Chaosheade
    No problem at all. Making a conversion that saves money is awesome for the community. And making a tutorial so others don't have any guess-work is above fantastic. Keep up the good work.
