Another Santa Cruz Warhammer Give Away: TREASURE!

We are superstoked to have another great, one and only, original SCW Give Away. This time we are giving away this:
All these conversion bitz are made by Max Mini, a fine Polish modeling company that is doing a great job of making creative resin models of high quality that are very easy to use within our beloved hobby.

This time we will have TWO winners.

One winner will get all the Ork stuff, within the yellow circle. There are some amazing Ork Pirate boyz and pirate nobs heads and "post apoc." guns in there AND there is a cool rokkit pack. Here are the two projects I used Max Mini bitz in:

Nob Pirate Head with massive gun here

and the Rokkit boy.

and John's Orc pirate also using one of the pirate boyz heads

The other winner will get all the other bits, including some great packs and pouches, the steam knight heads, fallen legionaire heads, black lotus tribe heads.

John used Max Mini guardsman backpack here

and fallen legionaire head here ,

So, here's the deal (one extra rule!):
1. become a follower
2. leave a comment (maybe say something Max Mini can use for further development)
3. in the comment say: Orks or Guard so we know in what group to put you for the drawing

No anonymous comments ! If we can't click on your name and link to your profile, we can't figure out who you are and you will be passed up for someone who has activated a profile.

We will draw one winner for each batch.

Remember, Max Mini and the other little creative and independent companies are giving you this for free, so next time support them with a little bit of PayPal. Shipping all over the world is no problem, so don't worry about stuff like that. We all love GW but the Warhammer (40K) world is big enough for lots of artful souls making stuff that gives us lots of hobby fun!

Just to let you know, John and I don't get paid for this and don't keep anything of what the companies send us. We buy the models we use incognito, when we like it we ask them for a Give Away and that is all going to you!

Have at it!
John and Mike

  1. a new give away, you two sure are doing a lot of pampering us. (keep it coming) since i side with the ork give away i would like to say that a looted weapon that is not human (tau looking) could be a great addition.

(rebel ig or chaos ig anyway)

  5. How are you guys doing this??? I like it and I am sure Max Mini is loving this. I really like what they did with the Orks, its nice to see other companies offering after market kits for GW figures.

Put me down for the Orks, I love the Pirate looking heads!

    ReplyDelete
  6. i like the guard stuff. The traitor heads would work particularly well for blood pact. I would like to see a little more variety, especially since g/w really doesn't support rebel guard.

    ReplyDelete
  7. That ork stuff is amazing. Some more pirate-like weapons would be really cool, like a cutlass or flintlock pistols. Orky pirate weapons of course.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I'll go for the guard stuff. If I win then it'e traders for me

    ReplyDelete
  9. These bits are amazing! I'd love to nab the ork ones to continue to customize my nobz. Keep em coming!

  10. *does best Orky Pirate impression*

    ReplyDelete
  11. I really like the gas mask heads. It'd be cool if they made more different ones.

    and of course guard :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Guard bitz please! :D

It would be cool to see conversion bitz for female Guard in future... the numberless ranks of the Emperor's Sledgehammer could use a little diversity ;)

  13. Great idea, great blog! I would like to do something like that on mine, too.

  14. well i was watching the orks over the last few weeks on this sight and its really opened my mind to using bits from other sites. i was looking it buying some of the pirate heads anyhow but it would be awesome to win them!!

  15. Those Black Lotus Tribe helmets (the Grecian style ones) will look awesome on a Slaaneshi unit, I want!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Very nice blogg with loads of interesting projects! Giving away stuff - brilliant (Ork for me if I'm lucky).

    ReplyDelete
  17. Bribery and Corruption, bibery and corruption .... shall I succumb?

    Guard Please!

  18. Ive been looking at the maxmini backpacks for my guard (shamelessley inspired by your Ardwick battalion..), as making them out of green stuff is ridiculously time consuming. Though MaxMini do have a good range, perhaps they would think about expanding into tank parts, like different turrets, sponsons, or parts to make our tanks look more akin to the armies we field. Stuff like stowage, gas tanks, fluffy crenellation bits. Also, if they made trench style bases for 40k scale figures, I would be so happy!

Guard would be preferable in case of this being a golden ticket.

  19. Very generous of you and to be able to give away free MM stuff! I'm still waiting on my last order from nearly 100 days ago from those guys :(

I've made use of those Greek looking helmets on Praetorians - very nice sculpts!

  20. Guards Guards!

    Bitz for me Bitz box

  21. Pirate Orks? Sign me up!

I'd love to see some more big guns like in the picture. Perhaps some that utilize a flame-thrower or missile launcher. There are precious few of these in the GW range, and I'd like some variety on my Nobz.

    ReplyDelete
  22. This is a great giveaway, yet again. I'd be up for the "guard" section.

I would second the call for more big guns and more "fallen guardsmen" components.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow that is an amazing give away! ORc btw. I have been meaning to buy something from them. also they will cast your minis (if I am not mistaken) so they are a cool custom bitz company

    ReplyDelete
  24. Wow those look great! The detail on both sets is very impressive. I would go for the Orks set, those pirate heads would be perfect for my two Warbosses (or Kaptain Badrukk) and a mob of Flashgitz.

    ReplyDelete
  25. guard for me. Whats cooler than evil gas mask vets?

    ReplyDelete
  26. The ORK stuff look so kool good luck evry one

    ReplyDelete
  27. Max Mini needs to make some Ork pirate esque weapons too. I would love to get my hands on the Ork heads so throw in my lot with the Orks!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Whoops, I wasn't sure how to become a "follower" when I wrote my other post. Anyways, I'm working on some Traitor Guard, and the variety of heads would definitely add to the "ragtag" feel.

    Guard please!

    ReplyDelete
  29. The heads & jump packs are great looking. Some more weapons (ranged & cc) would definitely boost their range a bit.

    Guard.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The guard backpacks look great! So does the ork stuff, but I don't have any ork models to try them on.

    Thanks guys.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Orks all the way.

I really like MaxMini's stuff but would love it if they came out with some daemon stuff. ::crosses fingers:: here's hoping!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Their bit are very detailed, but as mentioned more ranged and close combat weapons would be great

    Ork

    ReplyDelete
  33. I love the Ork Bitz, they have lots of character.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Another give away, awesome!
The ork bits are astounding and I have been thinking about ordering some of those pirate heads. One thing maxmini could do is to start selling arm swaps for ordinary ork boyz, some new and interesting melee weapons. The amount of replicated weapons in just one boyz group is high.

    Oh and yeah, orks!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think this helmet-greeks heads coudl make a good touch to my centaurs...

    :)

    Guards!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Guard stuff! I will have to check this company out.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I am loving the Ork Stuff. I ordered some hammers from Max Mini just a week ago. I would love to see some Bionic bits - either for orks or other races. They are pretty hard to come by and I bet they could model them up proper.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I am glad Bloggers like you guys are to discover and pass the word along about all this great hobby manufacturers. It ensures that the hobby will grow and continually get better.

    Keep it up.

Oh, and I love the ork heads!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I was following you from the RSS feed, but now I'm a blogger follower too!

I really dig the tribe of the black lotus helmets (the ones with the brush-tops, upper left on the pic). I was planning on getting some of those for my noise marines. They'dmake great slaaneshi chaos warrior heads too.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wow, those bits are awesome. I think I have to go with Guard on this one though. Thanks for offering this guys!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh, new stowage, my guard need new stowage.

    Cracking stuff btw

    ReplyDelete
  42. I would love to be entered to get the great ork parts, but my comment is for the imperial guard. I think some beastmen heads would be great. In the original guard army list, beastmen were a troop type and were really cool. I think some beastmen penal battalions would rock.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Howdy!

I'm a new player to 40k, I just got a bunch of orks from my ex-husband (hell, I paid for 'em the first time around) and I would love to start building up my models. I have a ton of fun building up new models, and if I happen to win I would love more ork heads to work with.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Awesome bits. I play both Orks and Guard, so it's a tough choice... put me down for Guard. Thanks :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Very nice skulpted ork heads. Would love to get my hands on those for some flash Git conversions!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Orks all the way. I've been thinking about picking up some of those jetpacks anyways and it would be nice to see one in person first...

    ReplyDelete
  47. It looks like it's time to build some Flash Gitz...

    ReplyDelete
  48. wow i love the pirate look of the orks. Id love to see other parts of them maybe, peg legs, hook arms/hands. squigg for the shoulder like a pirate maybe =)

can you tell i like the ORKS best =X

    ReplyDelete
  49. The Ork in says paint them red.

The Guard in me says to follow my commander to the death.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Has to be orks all the way, would love a pirate theme 40k ork unit. The resins are so why made i cant wait too see if they ever do an eldar range, would be great to have an opition on helm choice.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I would like to see Max Mini release some future style heads, or knights helms with hoods. Always looking for something to customize Black Templars.

As for the bits, I have to go with the Orcs, it will encourage me to finish the Black Reach Orcs

    ReplyDelete
  52. Orks

I think Max Mini have really outdone themselves. I look forward to future releases, and I hope some Ard Boyz bitz!

    ReplyDelete
  53. yay ork stuff i want the head would make a nice badrukk

    ReplyDelete
  54. I hadn't seen MaxMini's full range of pirate Ork heads and other gear in full until you guys advertised it and piqued my interest. I've always been a fan of the old school style of GW's Orks from way back in the day (Waaargh Da Orks, 'Ere We Go, etc) and plan on converting/painting my Black Reach figures - bits like these ought to go a long way in making my army look unique and characterful. It'd be very cool if I won some of these bitz, and if not, odds are good I'll be checking back with MaxMini when I get around to working on my Orks.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Wow, those bits are really cool! I would love to see more love given to some sci-fi human heads and gear in the future. There are not to many good options around beside Pig Iron.

Oh and if I win this, Guard stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thank you for continuing to produce great article and doe these give aways.

I would be most interested in the Ork heads.

It would be cool if there were a range of viking heads that could be used for Space Wolves/Chaos Warrior armies.

    ReplyDelete
  57. wow, these are some very impressive bits.

I would love to get my hands on some of those ork heads!

keep up the good work SCW and Max Mini!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm a follower, and have always considered maxmini bits as they just look amazing.
I couldn't give any specific advice to them, but would just love to see more different themes, and bits for other races as well.
(would be very interested in some nice guard bits and bobs)

    ReplyDelete
  59. The maxmini backpacks are awesome, i'll use them for my rebel guard..
    also those heads are amazing..

    and of course Guard

    Thanks guy

  60. More mutation bits wo0uld be nice, I wouldn't mind seeing heads derived from Egyptian gods either.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I've been eyeing those black lotus heads for a couple of weeks now... I wonder if they'd make good Space Marine captain or sgt heads?

    Guard for me, please...

    ReplyDelete
  62. You guys are awesome with all the free stuff! Maybe Max or Mini could hook us up with some Tau-ish bits, you know, for the Greater Good?

    ReplyDelete
