Jeff from Dragon Forge sent us some more goodies to Give Away for FREE to one of you faithful readers. This time we received a set of beautiful resin cast Ancient Ruins bases. This is the loot:
10 25 mm bases
1 40mm heroic base
1 60 mm base
To enter:
1. become a follower so we make sure you know when our next Give Away is (will be a Dwarf Bear Rider)
2. leave a comment that Jeff from Dragonforge has any use for. Constructive comments are greatly appreciated but keep it nice.
We at Santa Cruz Warhammer are interested in promoting a array of different smaller and independent companies that are creative and give our hobby more depth and color. Most of the stuff we receive we give away with a small amount being used to write articles that would promote a great piece or model. Go over to Dragon Forge and give him some of your money, it's worth it!
Have at it!
Mike
Well, I won't enter again because there's plenty of people that haven't won, but these are really cool!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to whoever wins. Big up Santa Cruz Warhammer u guys are the shiiii
I have bought Dragon Forge bases before and I was not disappointed. The level of detail great and the price is worth it.
ReplyDeleteAs for these bases, I have no complaints! They are varied in appearance enough so that you can use the same base on another model and not have it look weird.
I have a few dragonforge bases and I'm always impressed with both cast and the quality of the sculpts.
ReplyDeleteIt's the perfect way to really highlight that important character model!
Now i have a large number of custom bases from a few companys, But Dragon Forge has always been the cream of the crop.
ReplyDeleteThey really make your figures paint job stand out twice as much, just for being on a eye catching Dragon Forge base.
Sadly haven't bought any dragon forge goodies let, but these look great. Would enjoy using them on my Dire Avengers who have a greek theme going on.
ReplyDeleteJust looking over their site quickly and they have some amazing bases. But I couldn't see any swamp/water effect bases, now these would be something I'm really interested in for my army (if there are some sorry for missing them). When I get round to rebasing my army this year I know who to contact =)
Great looking bases as usual! They really add that extra dimension of awesome to a well-finished army.
ReplyDeleteI haven´t bought any of these great looking bases... But I was actually hoping to get some "ruins theme" bases in my hands.
ReplyDeleteWe have a diorama painting competition coming soon to our local gaming store. And these would be just the thing for my "ruined Orlanthi temple" diorama that I had in mind... :)
Details on the bases are amazing! Really great stuff... Have to order some.
I've always like the look of custom made bases on other players' armies, but I have never had the courage to try making my own.
ReplyDeleteNow I see these and think that it's quite obtainable and they look fantastic to boot.
Another very interesting give away..
ReplyDeletethis Dragon Forge bases are really beautyfull..
i know i'm the last give away winner, but likewise i'll try :P ..
Love the way these bases look. I especially like the ones with the columns attached. Perhaps expand this base line with more of those, and possible some with crumbled columns and architecture?
ReplyDeleteWow, all I can say is WOW. These bases are just beautiful! I never noticed the Amazing detail in these bases. Anyone who wins these are definitely lucky. So good luck to all.
ReplyDeleteYou know these would go really great with those Iron Snakes, especially the one with the Mohawk, if I win I'll recreate that Iron Snake.
I am just now discovering how awesome resin bases are. I hope I win this one!
ReplyDeleteI love these resin bases so much! If I ever got my hands on some of these I would remove all the dinky GW bases off my ork nobz and HQs and replace them with these works of art. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant looking stuff. Might have to get something from the range for a 'Nid army shortly.
ReplyDeleteSweet looking bases - maybe add some extra detail to the columns for future work.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to buy dragon forge bases, and I've always only ever heard good about them.
ReplyDeleteI hope I win...
Oh, just WOW! These bases are really BEATIFUL!!
ReplyDeleteI'm following SCW recently, and I discovered DF bases now. They are really cool! Now I'm visiting Jeff web in order to say something constructive. I was going to say something about international orders, but their shipping cost is just so great!. Five bucks to anywhere in the world? c'mon! it's awesome!!
I love the Dragonforge bases!
ReplyDeleteThe only possible downside I can see is that I'd have to put more effort into my miniatures, so that they didn't look shabby sitting on top of such a nice base.
These bases, as always, look amazing! I really need to save up some money and buy some.
ReplyDeleteMy only wish is that they had some arctic themed bases. Some of the broken wastelands ones might work I suppose.
WoW, i'd so love these. They would be perfect for my golden deamon next year(Eldar Ranger On Knee). but i cant think of anything that they could improve on. there awsome!
ReplyDeleteI have some of the tech deck range for Space Hulk figs and just love them - beautiful scuplts. I have yet to try the other ranges but my only constructive comment would be in relation to their height - don't make the scupts too high; the true Line of Sight rules now in 5thEd 40k will make them easier targets! Keep up the great work!!!
ReplyDeleteawesome looking bases. I won one in a local tourny and I always wanted to pick up some more of these awesome looking resin bases
ReplyDeleteNice! All thumbs up to Dragonforge for such great bases.
ReplyDeleteOh and looks like SANTA Cruz is living up to his name. Or is that Santa Claus XD. Sorry couldn't resist.
Wow I'd never even considered resin bases before this! Might have to incorporate these into my new space marine chapter which I've just started blogging abot!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work Santa Cruz! Long time fan
40 mm is the best of the three in that it provides a little more 'material' in the broken pillar to break up the 'floor' that several similiar bases tend to use. The larger 50 mm base comes up next with the smaller bases having some great potential for a GM running a game set in ruins.
ReplyDeleteJeff makes some great stuff. His alternative to the valkerie flying base is top notch!
ReplyDeleteI Love the dragon forge bases, and i think I would love to see some runes on those. Writings if you will from a forgotten era. Either or great stuff.
ReplyDeleteGreat bases, hope I finally win :)
ReplyDeleteFor some of your 40k bases it would be cool to have
ReplyDeletesome arms coming out and for these ones you shpuld get some axes and swords and goblets lying arund to make it fell REALLY runic!
This is a really great looking set. I love that it's not afraid to overhang the edge for the additional detailing.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't mind having a set of my own!
