Now secretly squirreled away in our new private super clubhouse (thanks Glenn) games were played and snacks were eaten.
This month we kicked off our mini Fantasy Warband group. 200 point armies battled on small tables as we got acquainted with the rules.
40k players also battled it out throughout the evening.
Mike and I both committed to building, painting and basing 200 points for the Warbands battle.
Warbands is a great way to build up a great looking force in small, manageable steps without getting bogged down painting a ton of stuff.
Mike's 200pts of Vampire Counts.
John's 200pts of Lizardmen.
The night was a lot of fun with the usual suspects and some new faces, and is becoming a not to miss monthly event. If you are in the area, and interested in some casual gaming and good company, shoot us an email.
Time to get back to work on my next 200 points!
John
Sorry I couldn't make it. I have to make a confession I didn't quite finish my 200 points yet. I have the base colors done but haven't finished the details. Oh well, extra work for this month. How did you convert the two-handed club saurus?
ReplyDeleteI hope there was a reason other than not completing painting, while it would be nice, its just for fun, and you could have still played.
ReplyDeleteHope you can make it next time painted or not.
The guy with the great weapon is not converted, but one of the old, weedy, OOP Kroxigor.
