With plans to bring the Death Guard to Balitmore in just over a week, I am thinking of adding a second Prince with wings, my last Prince was a simple conversion, but this time I decided to try to make one from some bits and a few new parts.
I picked up the new plastic trolls, and used a torso and arms as the basis for this kitbash.
As my troops are a mix of expensive (based on the Forge World torsos) and cheap ( finished with recycled bits from the junk box) after using the new and expensive troll torso and arms I decided to pull the rest from the bits box.
I also decided to use only GW stuff on this as I want it to be "legal" for everything.
The new troll legs are very short so I decided to use a set of old sentinel legs, and pushed the bio mech thing a bit further with a jump pack made from speeder parts, like the other Prince this got an Ogre head also, terminator shoulderpad and a banner loincloth and some old metal wings, all recycled.
I will start painting and have him ready soon.

Daaaaang!
ReplyDeleteHe looks Tough! Also, he looks a lot more Nurgley than the new GW plastic kit.
yeah, I looked at the new Daemon kit as a starting point, and decided it was too Khorny.
ReplyDeleteI decided the Troll kit had more grossness for the money (3 models) and some extras for the bits box.

Pretty cool model. I'm looking forward to seeing it painted.
ReplyDeleteNice. really nice.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to a suitably good, erm, horrible paint job :)
Very cool work, John! I really like the way you used those sentinel legs.
ReplyDeleteThat thing looks revolting - of course I mean that in a good way since it's Nurgle.
ReplyDeleteHows the FW nurgle guy doing I sent yas?
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, I have added a pic of it with some paint, more photos in a bit.
ReplyDeleteDerina- I started on it but I kept breaking the staff, so I am now replacing it with a bit of brass rod, you will see him soon enough, but I must get my army ready for Games Day, and he didn't make the list...yet.
